Try to breathe some life into a letter

The gig was good. I enjoyed it a lot. Set:

  • Waiting For Answers
  • Open Letter (To Mrs Foy)
  • Portable Sun
  • Cloudbusting
  • Superman Is Dead
  • We Know How...
  • Day of the Triffids
  • More Than The World (excerpt)
  • How Turns The Tide
  • Answering Machine

So, how did it go? Bloody great. Not a massive crowd but they were noisy and I thanked them for it, too. Highlights included artiste on speaker type rock outs, people singing to 'Cloudbusting' and 'Portable Sun' (always nice, thank you), 'Day of the Triffids' finally getting an airing and going down very well, a very, very short bit of Andy Neal's 'More Than The World' which ended when I fucked it up and the whole of Answering Machine just going by like an amazing dream. I was sad when I finally stopped playing.

Somebody I don't know told me that I am an "amazing guitarist" and shook my hand. I didn't know what to say so probably squirmed and replied with an Elvis style "thankyaverymush". I'm told that I have difficulty accepting compliments.

Thanks to everyone who came down and was noisy. Hopefully more news on gigs soon.
